Funerals

This can be a sad and stressful time and my role is to help guide you through the funeral ceremony planning. I will support you as much or as little as you need, we will meet at least once either in person or via video link to discuss your loved one and what you envision for the ceremony. I can support with music, poem and reading selection and based on our meeting will write a eulogy unless you would prefer to write it yourself. I will stay in regular contact with your funeral director to relieve as much stress from you during this time as possible.

Each ceremony is bespoke to the family and person the funeral is for. Some people like a traditional funeral, some want humour and others want a mix. I am here to personalise the service to your requests.

Sometimes people what to attend their own funerals, this can be for a variety of reasons, but they get to see plan their funeral and see it take place. This celebration can be a wonderful opportunity to say the things to our loved we often wish we had said once they have passed. It also enables us to learn a lot about the loved one who has planned it as they are involved in writing the 'eulogy'. 

These are one of the most painful times for families and I will offer you as much time as required to plan your ceremony. I do not charge for children's funerals and will offer as much support as possible.

Pets are part of our families so why should their farewell be any less important. Each ceremony is personalised to you and your pet just as it would be for a human funeral.

Memorials can be held for numerous reasons and unlike a funeral do not need to follow certain pathways. Whatever the reason you haven chosen to have one I will create a personised ceremony. You may wish to have it just as you would a normal funeral service or you many choose to do your own thing completely, what ever you choose I will work with you to remember your loved one.

My fees include:

• A planning meeting and unlimited contact
• Bespoke ceremony, with regular updates
• A printed copy of the ceremony
• Communication with the Funeral Director
• Ceremony up to 40 minutes (longer ceremonies have an additional fee) 
• Travel costs within 20 miles (50p per mile after)
